If you want a year of prosperity, grow grain: 10 years of prosperity, grow trees: 100 years of prosperity, grow people.

In the midst of great joy, do not promise anyone anything. In the midst of great anger, do not answer anyone’s letter.

It is better to be a small stream, than a deep ditch.

It is better to light one candle than to curse the darkness.


It is better to take many small steps in the right direction, than to make a great leap forward, only to stumble backward.
